October 15, 2009 - Return of Thurman Thomas Statue, Thanks to donations of equipment and services by Twin Lakes Concrete and Bay Brokerage, Inc. the Thurman Thomas statue is recovered from Welland, ON, Canada and transported to it's new home at Sahlens Sports Park/Thurman Thomas Training Center, Elma, NY.
October 12 - 15, 2009 - Carvings for a Cause receives international attention with the theft and ultimate recovery of the 1,000 lb. Thurman Thomas statue from a parking lot near Ralph Wilson Stadium after the Sunday, Oct. 11th Bills game.
